Aloha Oe Performance

Aloha Everyone,

The Princess Theater was standing room only. There were Hawaiian hula dancers, Tahitian dancers and ukulele musicians all enthusiastic and enjoying themselves.

For those who missed the main event, Maili and Tui Letuli organized another dance performance in The Piazza. It reminded us of the popular song from My Fair Lady, “I could have danced all night…”

Movie Date - Jane Goodall, Biography

Aloha Everyone,

Jane Goodall had developed expertise on wild chimpanzees. She was recognized and gained international status on her ground breaking discoveries as Primatologists. They make tools, eat and hunt for meat. In essence, chimpanzees have similar social behaviors to humans.

This biography introduces a collection of never before seen personal footage and a new interview photographed at her home in Africa.

Jane Goodall was born and raised in a middle class family in England. With no advanced degrees, she was self-taught. This intimate film takes viewers through her extraordinary life from her 20’s through marriage, childbirth, and divorce.

The Heart of the Journey with Craig Richard

Aloha Everyone,

The program was far better than expected. J.J. and I missed the musical show of Craig Richard, but the Princess Theater was packed. Craig had invited his music audience to hear about his life’s adventures.

Incorporating his passion for rock climbing with his own near death experiences, Craig shared with us his life changing journey from darkness to light, seeking answers through meditation.

Until J.J. came looking for me, I didn’t realize that I had stayed until the end of the program.

I think each one of us felt that we learned something. There is no certainty in life. Things can go wrong in an instant. One must live life with optimism. Simply stated, always look at the bright side of life. If someone needs help, be grateful that you’re in a position to do so. We found ourselves that we can relate to Craig’s story.

Last two nights, we dined at Santa Fe Restaurant and enjoyed the interesting company of two different couples.

Movie Date in our Stateroom - E.T. Directed by Steven Spielberg

Aloha Everyone,

Great classic movie directed by a master story-teller, Steven Spielberg. This 1982 film is one of the highest grossing films. Even without looking at the screen, when you hear John Williams’ Oscar winning composition for E.T., we are transported to the magical place. This is a timeless story of trust, friendship and great adventures.
