$500 Restaurant Cards

Aloha Everyone,

Hawaii residents who are unemployed due to the COVID-19 are receiving $500 restaurant debit cards. Approximately 116,000 Hawaii residents who have been on unemployment are eligible. The card can only be used to purchase foods and non alcoholic beverages. One has a choice of fast food places or sit down restaurants. Using unspent money from the Care Act fund, the state government’s goal is to stimulate economic activity in the Hawaii food supply chain starting from local farmers, fishermen, ranchers, producers and distributors.

The debit card usage is limited to the state of Hawaii and individual cards have an expiration date of December 15th.
