Architecture Designs to Serve the Needs of the Community

Aloha Everyone,

Everywhere around the globe, people are suffering from extreme weather. Too much rain, too little rain, forest fires and floods. This sad weather related misfortunes continue.

Michael Murphy & Alan Ricks learned their lessons and were inspired while they were still students at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. They were challenged to design a hospital in a remote, rural district of Rwanda from an organization, Partner in Health.

Their non-profit firm, Model of Architecture Serving Society, MASS, focused on serving the needs of the community and providing beautiful design to groups and communities typically unable to afford great architecture.

Aloha -- Cathi
