Aloha Everyone,
If the two of us had chosen a direct route, from Minot to Glendive it would’ve taken us only 3.5 hours. Instead, today’s trip was closer to 5.The day was windy, crisp and beautiful with the sun shining on beautiful farmland and National grass lands. J.J. and I agree that part of the fun of traveling is exploring and meandering back country roads.
Our first stop was Walmart to purchase supplies. I was happy to get a chance to do my walking for about 40 minutes before lunch.
An unusual looking family restaurant caught our eyes. Its parking lot was surrounded with huge metal sculptures of Bisons, cowboys and Indians. Doc Holiday and OK Corral placards were posted outdoors but once we went inside, the interior decor was even more impressive. J.J. enjoyed a French dip sandwich and I nibbled on a large Reuben sandwich also served with fries.
Just looking at my plate I felt full. Tonight, I had a banana, one gluten free bar and drinking lots of ice water. J.J. made his meal with our leftovers.
Aloha -- Cathi
