Sunday Open House and Meeting Kathy at the Food Court

Aloha Everyone,

This afternoon, I sat at an Open House at 1350 Ala Moana. This is one of Jeff's real estate listings, and it is a beautiful two bedroom, two bath unit facing towards the Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island and Waikiki. I guess Jeff is putting me to work on while I am on my "vacation" in Hawaii.

1350 Ala Moana was built circa 1968 on what referred to as the "golden block" of Ala Moana and Kakaako. A luxury building, it has maintained its quality and elegance of the years, as well as its Hawaiiana charm.

After our Open House, Jeff, J.J., and I walked over to the Ala Moana Center Food Court to have dinner. The Food Court is huge, with several dozen eateries to choose from.

I selected a vegetarian meal from the Lahina Chicken Factory.

We have often been asked how do we meet people we feature in my blog? It usually begins with a smile and a a quick, "Hello!"

Kathy, a School Service Coordinator with West Hawaii Explorations Academy, a public charter school from Kailua-Kona, sat at the table next to us. We started a conversation which led to a very interesting discussion of the Hawaii public school system and what the state could do to support public school teachers, especially those who are newly hired. Kathy was warm, friendly and just a delightful person. Thank you for having dinner with us Kathy!
