Excellent road, clear weather with no traffic meant that it was a perfect time for me to drive for two hours
This is the 76th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Week. Nearly 500,000 bikers are expected to congregate at a small town of less than 7,000 population. Even in the town of Hot Springs, about two hours from Sturgis, restaurants were filled with bikers.
We were able to secure a very pleasant site for two nights at the Hot Springs KOA campground. Quite an exciting afternoon to witness the fiery display of thunder, lightening and heavy downpour. J.J. and I had to wait for nearly 1/2 hour to use the shower facilities. Lots of bikers & their huge motorcycles all over the campground.
