Aloha Everyone,
J.J. and I watched a Rick Steves special on travel to Europe including Italy. Not really a good idea to get excited as it interrupted my sleep and after 5 hours, I was up.
Took a shuttle service to LAX which we shared the tide with a Romanian-American couple who were on their way to visit their family for 5 weeks.
Smooth check-in at the airport. It was a good start as J.J. and I were ushered to a line where we were asked to leave our shoes on as well as my hat and J.J.'s belt!
Alitalia is a direct flight from LAX to Rome. Flight time is 11 1/2 hours. We are traveling on Premier Economy. Let's see what benefits we will receive for an additional payment of $300+ each roundtrip.
