During the past 12 hours, many of us were captivated by the bizarre event unfolding in Russia. Chaotic and fast moving, is it a real revolt by Yevgeniy Prigozhin, the head of Russian mercenaries, the Wagner Group?
Head of states, diplomats and ordinary people like us lost sleep, although everyone was helpless as to what can be done.
Was a complicated deal struck between Vladimir Putin and Prigozhin? Who really brokered the deal, if any? Where are the key players? Are they in hiding? Would there be retribution which could draw neighboring countries into war?
Discussing different scenarios and consequences for individual Americans is a fascinating topic. As of this writing, there is a feeling of anticlimax. Even the experts are guessing as to what happened.
While the news was mostly about Russia, the US Coast Guard kept searching for the Titan Submersible with 5 people on board. Sadly, it suffered an implosion and everyone on board were killed.
