Buc-ee's Convenience Store and Cousin Ria

Aloha Everyone,

On our way to Houston on Highway 59, Buc-ee's, with a distinctive beaver logo caught our eyes.

Curious and famished, we stopped hoping that they might have a restaurant where we can have lunch. Encouraged by the sign advertising Pastrami sandwiched, we walked it.

Buc-ee's is a convenience store located in the Central and Gulf Coast region of Texas. The travel center includes a full service deli, coffee shop, Texas-themed specialty gifts and food. Restrooms in Buc-ee's are spacious and immaculate. Buc-ee's will definitely be one of my favorite places to stop for fuel and food. All Buc-ee's are open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

J.J.'s mother comes from a family of 9 children.  J.J. has 41 first cousins on his mother's side. His surviving cousins are scattered around the world several residing in the United States. Ria and her family have been long time residents of Texas.

Retired from IT, Ria and her husband Rene have four grown children. Ria invited us to stop by when we are in the Huston area. For dinner, they took us to a Malaysian restaurant in "Chinatown" where three of their children joined us.
