Aloha Everyone,
One of this morning's headline news is about another storm sweeping down Northern California. Reporters are at scenes where the storm has knocked down trees, ripped through freeways and street signs.
We however woke up to a glorious, clear day, a perfect day for us to be on the road.
J.J. and I enjoy the flexibility of our lifestyle. We are able to do things on a spur-of-the-moment. We called our son in La Jolla if they would like to have lunch with us. Getting an enthusiastic YES response, J.J. and I passed by Nijiya supermarket where they specialize in Japanese food. J.J. purchased an assortment of bentos (box lunches.)
Our total driving time was nearly 5 hours. The 3 hours of fun, quality family-time we were able to spend with our family was well worth it.
