Of the 240+ teams that participated in the 18 Club Division at the Las Vegas Classic Volleyball tournament, TAVA tied for 5th place. Jeff is extremely happy, but very tired. We dropped him off at his hotel so he can get some much deserved sleep.
Today, TAVA played at the World Market Center in downtown, Las Vegas. It is a 5,000,000 square foot showcase for the home and hospitality contract furnishing industry. However the tournament took place in what appeared to be permanent tent fixtures. With the noon-time temperature of 75 degrees and the interior full of volleyball players, it was steamy and hot and uncomfortable.
Russ and Linea are from Salt Lake City, Utah. They are retired and spend their time traveling and visiting their children and grandchildren and a great-grandchild. When they learned that J.J. and I are traveling in our home, Russ confided that they have two homes and two RVs that is two too many. Hospitable and friendly couple, we promised to look them up when we are in their neighborhood.
J.J. and I leave tomorrow morning for Kingsman, Arizona.
