Kay was a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) who worked in ICU and ER. The last 16 years, until she retired 3 years ago, Kay worked in Hospice. Truly an unique and inspiring individual, Kay told me that she likes to keep herself busy and engages herself in her own fitness program. We met in the activity room this morning. While I shared some of my knowledge of t'ai chi, qui-gong and yoga, Kay shared with me her own exercise program. Her fitness hula hoop weighs about 3 lbs. Kay uses this everyday for an hour and told me that she lost 60 pounds. I gave it a try for less than a minute. Due to an unaccustomed weight which I swung around my waist, about an hour later, I experienced stiff neck and shoulders.
J.J. and I arranged with Linda at the office to extend our stay by one night. Then the two of us went on a walk around the area.
