To Gila Bend via Buckeye, AZ

Aloha Everyone,

In addition to our chance to experience big adventures, our travels in Honu also give us daily opportunities to enjoy small adventures. Today we stopped to do  grocery shopping at Fry's Marketplace in the city of Buckeye. This supermarket is a division of the Kroger's Company. J.J. and I found fresh meat and fish as well as produce at Fry's to be of excellent quality and they are fairy priced. Our best find for the day was Arizona produced Heirloom tomatoes. Large, plump, sweet, juicy and delicious, actually it was better than eating an apple or a pear!

Cracker Barrel restaurants serve "comfort foods". J.J. had his favorite enormous pancake breakfast and I had grilled trout with fried okra and steamed broccoli.

Our accommodation for tonight is at Holt's Shell Station & RV Park in Gila Bend. Rustic amenities with strong WiFi signal. This place seemed to attract Canadian RVers. Honu is surrounded by gregarious Québécois.  Nothing distinctive about this place except metallic sculpture dinosaurs around the premise and the brilliant southwest Arizona sky lit by the setting sun.

"Flat Artena" is the daughter and grand-daughter of our dearest friends, Flavia & Niké in Italy. I fashioned Flat Artena based on how she looked at age 5 months. She will be accompanying us on our adventures for the next several months.

Aloha -- Cathi
