Extremely Windy Day in Laughlin, Nevada

Aloha Everyone,

Honu is protected on both sides by two large bus-size vehicles shielding us from the direct impact of gusty winds. However, we had to abort our plan of walking along the Colorado River bank. With strong wind blowing, I couldn't even hold onto Honu's passenger door. J.J. had to let me get on and off from the driver's side.

Not much restaurant choices on the strip. We settled for a small Mexican diner where J.J. ordered a plate of chorizo with eggs and I had ground beef burrito. Both of our food were authentic Mexican. My burrito was too huge that I have leftover for dinner. The two of us also stopped by at a supermarket to purchase a carton of brown eggs and fresh tomatoes.

You can tell that you are in Nevada when a line of slot machines are the first thing customers see when entering the premise. Very hot shower and a relaxing afternoon as we spent time preparing our route for the coming days.
