Moving Towards Upper New York State

Aloha Everyone,

This week's weather forecast is overcast with 58% chance of rain. Today, for 5 1/2 hours straight, the rain did not let up and Honu bravely traversed from Maryland to Delaware crossing the bridge across Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. We made a quick stop at the Newark, DE visitor center with its large food court, information office and souvenir shops.

After crossing the Delaware Bridge we entered New Jersey. At times the amount of rain that was hitting Honu's windshield was heavy and relentless. We had to strain our ears and eyes to try to follow Siri's navigation.

I made a quick lunch for J.J. at a fuel stop along the road while he took a much needed cat nap.

Thank goodness for the "Easy Pass" that we did not have to search for change each time we came to a toll booth.

By the time we entered Hillburn, New York, the two of us were seriously focused on finding an RV Park or a motel chain to stay.

Happiness is finally arriving at a familiar "KOA" camping ground. Honu's home for the next two night is KOA New York City North/ Newburgh.

Aloha -- Cathi
