Last Day in Tucson

Aloha Everyone,

Bright and sunny Tucson morning. Our friend Pat from Illinois sent us a photo of spring flowers in her garden dusted with powder snow. 1/2 hour later, she sent an updated photo of the same flower blanketed in snow. I sent her sunshine with a photo I took during my morning walk that included a Saguaro and palm trees. About an hour later, her husband John was photographed shoveling their driveway of snow.

Yu Zi Wei, Authentic Chinese Restaurant has big parking spaces that can accommodate Honu. Compared to the attractive facade, interior was basic, a no frill diner. The waitress spoke very limited English. She handed us a typewritten order sheet with prices.

Without really knowing what we are getting, J.J. ordered one vegetarian dish for me and beef with chilies for himself. The latter was a soup dish loaded with red and black chilies. J.J. thinks that it is Hunan style cooking which specializes in Hot Pot Soup. The two of us agreed that the restaurant is worth another visit.

Stopped at the Walmart Neighborhood Market to purchase our food provisions. It was a little disappointing as selections were not much different from a regular Walmart.

Aloha -- Cathi
