Aloha Everyone,
This theme park built in 1940 is dedicated to children. The builder, Cassiano Viriato Branco, is one of the most important architects of the first half of the 20th century in Portugal. His philosophy on importance of play for children is reflected in the large collection of toys and area full of LEGO blocks allowing visiting children to play.
The park includes the typical buildings depicting different areas from Portugal. The historical and political influence Portugal once yielded through her former colonies around the world is emphasized.
Actually, it was a perfect setting for our flat granddaughter and our dear friend’s granddaughter as I walked around and posed them, hoping such personal views would perk their curiosities about Portugal and its past maritime influences.
