Amazing Changes in Topography Traversing Utah

Aloha Everyone,

Honu's 45,000 miles service at Mercedes Benz in Lindon took exactly two hours with 2 mechanics working simultaneously. The office staff were friendly, attentive and professional.

From Lindon to Heber City we took Route 189.

We stopped for lunch at China Star, which served Chinese, American and Mexican food.

I had a grilled cheese sandwich with onion rings

The directional road sign to Sundance was intriguing as we thought perhaps this is where Robert Redford got his inspiration to establish the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Tranquil drive of four miles round trip with clear but rapid running brook along the road. All that was waiting for us was a boulder with the word "Sundance".

At the end of Route 189 we joined Route 40. The state of Utah has 5 national parks, 7 national monuments and 43 state parks. Many of these offer one-of-a-kind visitor experience with unparalleled vista.

Today's drive of about 200 miles allowed us to feast our eyes on diverse topography from lush green mountains with waterfalls, farmlands  lakes and vast open desert.

Aloha -- Cathi
