The University of Michigan Ann Arbor & Remembrance of September 11

Aloha Everyone,

Our travels took us to Ann Arbor, the home to the University of Michigan. The school was founded in 1816, and has a total undergraduate enrollment of 28,395 students.

The campus size is huge at 3,211 acres. Navigating through the streets of the university, one can sense why the University of Michigan is ranked 29 in the 2016 edition of Best Colleges.

This is Honu's first trip to Ohio. The weather suddenly turned rainy as we crossed the Michigan-Ohio state line.

Our lunch stop at Cracker Barrel in Maumee.

Everywhere we noticed American flags at half-mast to remember September 11 fourteen years ago. That was the day when our lives were turned upside down.

Rain came down steadily throughout the day. Today's sunset was a poignant tribute in light to those who lost their lives on September 11 and to those whose lives were changed forever.
