Billy's Chowder House in Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge

Aloha Everyone,

J.J. loves seafood. Coming to Maine where lobster is internationally famous for their quality of meat and flavor, J.J. hopes to have his fill of lobsters. Nearly 90% of the nation's lobster supply, or approximately 40 million pounds, is caught off the coast of Maine.

Our first Maine Lobster meal was lunch at Billy's Chowder House at an isolated location in Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. As he always does when we eat lobster, J.J. gave me the claws which I ate with lemon-butter sauce.

Driving by Kennebunkport with its large estates and beach cottages made us recall the time when President George Bush was in office. Reporters would often say, "From Kennebunkport, Maine" where President Bush has his summer home. On the Porte coacher of one of the large estate, there were flags and banners and signs that said, "Mrs. Barbara Bush."

We are spending another night at Bayley's Camping Resort in Scarborough. This place is only 20 miles ride to our repair appointment tomorrow morning.
