There are 51 State Parks in Texas located throughout its 7 regions. The regions are diverse and distinctive and truly worth visiting.
We paid $70 for our Texas State Parks pass. This annual pass waives entrance fees for a calendar year. We also receive four camping discount coupons for 50% off the second night in a campsite.
Staying in Texas Parks, the two of us are reminded why we love living in Honu. Nature trail walks, bird and wild life watching opportunities are a few of the rewards we receive effortlessly. We also experience the weather first hand. Today wind velocity picked up and Honu was being shaken by sudden gusts, then rain drops were heard on the roof. How joyful to be so intimately connected to the world around us.
Tonight we are staying at the Goliad State Park and Historic Site. The Forrell pears and Mexican mangoes I had purchased are nearly ripe.
