Historic Downtown Del Mar

Aloha Everyone,

Our granddaughter's school Christmas program was a perfect venue for us grandparents to enjoy her singing and flute performance. J.J. and I are truly grateful that we can be here to join the family.

Main Street downtown of the Del Mar Village is on Camino Del Mar and located between 9th and 15th Street. According to the Del Mar Village information, this historic development dates back to the 1880's.

Charming and quaint, Del Mar is one of a number of affluent coastal neighborhoods in San Diego. Here one can find unique specialty shops and restaurants. It is always challenging to find parking space to accommodate Honu. While J.J. parked briefly taking 1 1/2 spaces, I hopped down to take a closer look.

Rock, a large, gorgeous Akita and his owner were also taking their promenade. Here is a portrait of Rock, who graciously held his stance.
