Happy Father's Day, Ferry Crossing to Seattle

Aloha Everyone,

Our spirits were high. We were in a vacation mode. Jeff and Jenny came to pick us up at our RV park and the four of us drove to Bremerton to catch a ferry to Seattle. The ferry route across Puget Sound from Bremerton to Seattle is 17 nautical miles and it took over an hour to cross. In addition to passengers, the ferry carries cars, larger size vehicles and bicyclists.

Passenger fares are roundtrip, but payments were made on our return trip. The cost of fare is $8.20 for adults and for us lucky seniors, $4.10 each. What a fun way to spend two hours.

Seriously, I could go back and forth taking different routes. With a sketch book and water color pencil set, it would be a great place to practice drawing people and the scenery.

Lunch in Seattle at the Crab Pot.

As you can see from my photos, it was a relaxing, very enjoyable day!
