Typical Seattle Weather; Les Schwab

Aloha Everyone,

A typical Seattle weather of misty, cold, steady rain with dark clouds hovering over us all day. We look at the bright side. This weather is what keeps the trees lush and green!

J.J. and I decided to take a couple of days off from unpacking the boxes to take care of other business. Our first stop was Les Schwab to have Honu's tires checked.

J.J. is extremely satisfied with their services. Mr. Les Schwab opened his first tire store in 1952 in Princeville, Oregon. Today after 65 years, there are more than 450 locations. It is one of the largest independent tire dealers in the country. We sat and enjoyed using their free WiFi in an immaculate waiting area. A mechanic checked tire pressure, tire wear and did tire rotation. It was FREE because we purchased tires from the company two years ago. https://www.lesschwab.com/about/ourstory

Our next stop was the Central Market. Absolutely wonderful place to find fresh fruits, veggies, meat, fish and everything else. Its fresh deli counter offers products from Europe. J.J. purchased salami from Italy and Serrano ham from Spain.

Spotting my Crazy Shirts Hawaii t-shirt and assuming that we must be longing for the sun, kind locals volunteered to tell us that there is a town called Sequim where it boasts the lowest annual precipitation!  Not enough incentive for us to drive 2 hours one way to see the sun :-) http://www.olympicrainshadow.com/olympicrainshadowmap.html
