Double Movie Date in Las Vegas

Aloha Everyone,

Gorgeous desert sunrise, but J.J. was not pleased. He would rather see cloudy sky with a muted sunrise. The two of us left my Mother's home at 5:00 am so that we can put some miles before the midday heat makes our driving challenging.

By 8:00 am, about 2.5 hours on the road, we stopped in Barstow for fuel and breakfast. Our timing was perfect. By 10:30 am, we've checked in at Sam's Town KOA, turned on the AC and took a nap.

In the afternoon, because of the excessive desert heat, J.J. and I stayed in cool Cinemax theaters. Spiderman: Homecoming starring English actor/dancer Tom Holland served our original objective -- to stay out of the sun for 1 1/2 hours. Nothing more.

The second feature, "Wonder Woman," a fantasy/science fiction starring Gail Godot and Chris Pine was unexpectedly enjoyable. It has a solid storyline, excellent acting enhanced by beautiful cinematography, solid art direction and production plus original music written, arranged and composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams. For nearly 2 1/2 hours, J.J. and I were thoroughly entertained.

Aloha -- Cathi
