Aloha Everyone,
Today was our granddaughter's birthday party with her friends.
Our son and daughter-in-law chose Lake Poway Recreation Area as their venue. Our daughter-in-law is a wonderful organizer. We picked up pre-ordered food trays including her birthday cake and balloons.
The birthday party started with a 3.2 miles hike around the lake. Thirteen of us, including five children managed what is classified as a "moderate" hike with only a couple of very short pauses to take photos.
Picnic lunch, followed by singing Happy Birthday and cake. Our granddaughter's drawing was used as the basis for the decoration.
Lake Poway provides exceptional recreational opportunities. Paddle boating was the final event. I stayed behind with J.J. while everyone else, a total of 23, went out on paddle boats. It was a well-organized, healthy fun day for everyone.
