One of the wonderful habits J.J. and I learned from Mom & Pop (his late parents) is to take a daily nap. Siesta" in Spain is a national tradition and we recall that restaurants and business establishments often closed for 1-2 hours at midday to give proprietors and employees time to take siesta.
There has been many studies conducted that what medical researchers refer to as power naps for adults have numerous health benefits.

4. Reduces stress
5. Reduces blood pressure
Remember you are not being lazy by taking a 20-30 minutes siesta. If you cannot sleep, just close your eyes and listen to soothing music.
Schedule your siesta after lunch and see how a short nap can make you feel that your energy level has been boosted. Even when we are on the road, under time constraint to reach our destination, J.J. and I take a quick siesta in Honu.
