We will be transferring to another hotel on Friday the 24th. It is also located in Parikia near the seafront. The route J.J. and I choose to walk with our suitcases runs along the 100 years old Parika Ekatntapyliani Church. If I walk by myself with no suitcase, it takes me approximately 5 minutes round trip from our current hotel. With 25 pounds suitcases, it might be prudent for us to allow double that time.
We purchased our Sea Ferry tickets for the 1st of October. The island we will be going to is Naxos.
Having a very large and late lunch, J.J. and I decided to get take out Greek pies and eat al fresco on our balcony.
Many tourists here are from EU countries including Northern Europeans and the former Yugoslavia nations. The street noise comes from two restaurants below us. We can hear people conversing in languages we cannot decipher which sound like cacophony. Music blasting, car horns beeping and finally it becomes quiet between 2-4 am. Then delivery truck drivers start their work.
