Thank Goodness, Mr. Jeff to the Rescue

Aloha Everyone,

After breakfast, I went to the gym and walked on a treadmill for 40 minutes. Located on the 2nd floor, my view was that of the swimming pool. Water must be unheated. It was entertaining to watch guests slowly submerge themselves then quickly climb out to wrap themselves with large pool towels.

This morning’s objective was to see if we could find “The Fat Seeds,” another one of our favorite restaurant chains. After making a few essential purchases at Marketplace, we decided to walk some more before our lunch.

What great luck! J.J. spotted Mr Jeff, a lavandería we used in Quito, Ecuador. The place is clean and sanitary, located at the basement of a mall. Haven’t figured out how to have them pick up and deliver our laundry. We should be able to come up with a solution. Mr. Jeff started their system of pick up and delivery to your home in Ecuador. But due to current political situation, they have ceased operations. In the Philippines, there are 4 outlets owned by a local company who is a franchisee.

We selected Red Crab as our celebration venue. J.J. really LOVES his crabs. Our side dish of mongo soup and their famous dessert, Ginataang Bilo-Bilo (hot dessert made of sago, sweet potatoes, banana and rice cake) — not a healthy choice, but it was delicious. Our total bill came out to US100. About US80 was for one large, live crab cooked with coconut milk.
