On I-15 South to Nephi via Payson, Utah

Aloha Everyone,

Traveling on familiar route may be déjà vu, but it is also comforting. Especially for us, seeing the Manti-La Sal National Forest, we definitely felt like coming home. Noted difference from last July when we were here is that summits now appear white.

Our main task for today was to stop by at the Walmart Super Store in Payson to have our prescriptions refilled.  J.J. and I utilized our waiting time efficiently by tackling our shopping list.

Smith has an excellent deli and bakery section. We purchased roast beef, Swiss cheese and bread for our lunch and had a healthy picnic inside Honu.

We are approximately 120 miles south of Brigham but the air feels colder and wind is more blustery.

Nephi is 5,128 ft above sea level. The temperature is expected to drop below freezing point.

As soon as the sun disappears behind the mountain range, it's time for us to turn on our heating system.
J.J. is busy checking the national weather pattern online before selecting our next destination.

Aloha -- Cathi
