Honu Gets Serviced

Aloha Everyone,

Today was set aside for Honu's repair at the RV dealer in Gilroy. Based on the list of things to check and repair we gave to Carrie the Service Manager this morning, she roughly estimated 2- 3 days. However, she promised to do her best to get us back on the road as soon as it's feasible.

Kaiser Gilroy Medical Office is  25 minutes round trip on foot from RV dealer. J.J. and I were greeted by Mercedes, Health Plan Representative. We had numerous question regarding using Kaiser facilities in other states when our membership is with Hawaii. Mercedes was informative, patient and kind and took her time to address our questions. One of the things we accomplished was to get our flu shot which we've been postponing.

The sidewalk we used to go to Kaiser from the RV dealer is tree/lined and beautiful.

On our way, J.J. and I passed a cabbage patch which by J.J.'s estimate had already been harvested. Sure enough we saw a tractor turning the earth. On our return walk, what was a cabbage patch had turned into mostly brown soil making left over vegetable as compost and eventually fertilizer.

It's 4:00 PM and Honu is ready to go. We are grateful for Carrie and her mechanics for their hard work. Here is Carrie in front of Honu giving us her okay to be back on the road again.

Tonight we are staying at Betabel RV Park. Tomorrow we begin our drive back to Southern California.

Aloha -- Cathi
