Mt Baker Snoqualmie National Forest to Ellensburg, Washington

Aloha Everyone,

After enjoying the assortment of gourmet bread Marissa packed for us with local cheese, we left Everett.

There were a few beaver dams in the mountain rivers, but no way to stop to take pictures. We passed by towns with curious names as Startup, Gold Bar, and Sultan.

In the town of Baring, we watched a BNSF train hauling airplane fuselages. J.J. surmised that they were destined for the Boeing.

U.S. Route 2 in Washington is very scenic. It connects the city of Everett to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Exciting prospect for us to take this road all the way to Michigan someday, but for today's journey, we decided to stop at KOA Ellensburg located north of Yakima.

Our site is riverfront and we have our back windows open to enjoy the sound of the river. Watching the fast flowing water is mesmerizing.

Aloha -- Cathi
