Dining In and Out, Mexico City Week 2

Aloha Everyone,

A huge advantage of living in a condo with kitchen is that we have a chance to prepare and eat healthier meals, but we also eat out often to try the local cuisine.

Here are dishes J.J. and I enjoyed during our second week of our stay.

Our choices of restaurant varies whether it is my vegetarian day or not. We walked into a small eatery where office workers frequent. You have to order from a menu board that states “La Comida” or lunch. The server brought out glasses of orange juice. I told him that I did not order the juice. He smiled and said it is included in the price of our meal. He then brought each of us a cup of coffee. Again he assured us that they too are included in the price of our meal. I do not drink water nor cold liquid of any kind in a restaurant. J.J. bravely took a sip of the juice. When I asked him how did it taste, he replied, “It tasted that I am brave.”

Mexican hot chocolate is legendary.
