The Mad Greek

Aloha Everyone,

Ford and Barbara were driving a Mercedes Benz Class B Winnebago, another company that makes recreational vehicles. Whenever we see our "twin" which is very rare, or our "cousin" which is more often, J.J. and I are curious as to where they have been to and what they have seen. I think it would be appropriate to share a segment of lyric of Calypso written by John Denver which refers to a Jacques Cousteau's research ship that sailed throughout the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

"Aye Calypso the places you've been to,
the things that you've shown us,
the stories you tell
Aye Calypso, I sing to your spirit,
the men who have served you so long and so well"

They have homes in New York and were on their way to their home in California.

Mad Greek in Baker, CA is the original site for wonderful Greek food. Their road side advertisement is clear, bold, concise and very inviting. This is the third time J.J. and I have eaten there and each time we love their large selection of Greek dishes.

Even though it was raining, the parking lot was getting filled

Today we chose a calamari dish served with pita bread, lamb Souvalaki, Spanokopita and a slice of Baklava.  Our friends, George and Lena would have approved the selection. They were πολύ νόστιμο (very delicious)!!!

A long drive for J.J. with lots of traffic on I-15 South most of the way back to Southern California. On a couple of occasions, we had rain but not enough to alleviate the 3-years drought California is suffering.

Aloha -- Cathi
