Heading Back to California

Aloha Everyone,

Our presence is requested, so we are on our way back to California. From Torrey to Boulder, Utah, we drove the Scenic Byway 22.

Approximately an hour long drive took us through some of the most amazingly beautiful scenic areas of the state as well as one of the most challenging mountain roads we have driven. I will write a separate entry in coming days.

Our lunch stop was in Cedar City. We chose a French Bakery and Bistro where it appeared to be a family business owned by French speaking family. Our first course of French onion tomato soup served with their freshly baked bread was absolutely superb and filling that we asked them to pack our order of quiche for our dinner.

After nearly 8 hours on the road, J.J. and I arrived at a now familiar RV park in North Las Vegas. Trying to endure 40 degrees temperature difference between Torrey, UT and Las Vegas, we went to watch a movie in the theater located in the casino next door. So It Goes starring Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton was very enjoyable film. Rob Reiner is one of our favorite directors and we also love watching him play a small part in his films.

Aloha -- Cathi
