Absolutely stunning panoramic view of Toledo from Mirador Del Valle, reminiscent of the one of the most celebrated paintings by El Greco. It gave me goose bumps or some of my friends in Hawaii would say, “chicken skin.”
Gothic churches, synagogues, massive Moorish fortifications, all bespeak of Toledo’s importance. It was the home to Europe's most powerful king Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor. There is so much to see and so much to learn. Toledo is an exciting and lively place to be.
J.J. and I stayed on the bus for one full circle which took about an hour, then chose where to get off. Due to the sudden midday rain, the two of us took shelter in the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. It was a pleasant, calming place to find peace and quiet from the bustling streets of Toledo.
